The Fatal Dangers of Texting and Driving

One Indiana family is  turning the untimely death of their daughter into a learning opportunity for young drivers all across the state. Their daughter was involved in a head-on collision after she entered the on-coming lane while texting and driving. Now, the Biddle family is using the crushed vehicle as a display at local schools and driver’s education classes as a reminder of the dangers of texting while driving.

While there’s nothing that this family can do to get their daughter back, it’s important for families to be openly talking about these very real dangers with their kids before, and frankly during, their teen driving years. Roughly 6 out of every 10 collisions or other auto incidents involving teen drivers are due to distracted driving. These distractions need to be addressed before teens get behind the wheel.
